Consultant Trauma And Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Vann commenced practice in Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur in March 2013. He is a returnee on the Talent Corp Returning Expert Programme. He was previously Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, United Kingdom.

Mr Vann studied at St Johns Institution, Kuala Lumpur before gaining entry to medical school at University College, Dublin. He initially trained at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital , Dublin . Mr Vann underwent Basic Surgical Training at the Royal Berkshire Hospital , Reading before completing Postgraduate Orthopaedic training in London. He has attended numerous courses and fellowships throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and U.S.A. He has contributed to several international peer reviewed publications. With over 20 years of orthopaedic experience, he has been involved in
the training and mentoring of junior surgeons in the United Kingdom.

Mr Vann is an accomplished Traumatologist with extensive experience in the very latest in the fields of OsteoBiologics and OsteoSynthetics. He is an internationally trained Arthroplasty (Joint Replacement) surgeon with an interest in Shoulder, Hip and Knee surgery. Mr Vann’s area of subspeciality interest is Computer Navigated Knee Surgery
